Description (Related:3)

The Optomap is used to obtain an ultra-widefield digital image of the retina without the need for dilation drops. A low powered scanning laser is used to capture the image.

The Optomap is completely painless and only takes a second to complete. You will not need to have your eyes dilated for the exam, so you can even drive afterwards. Not only is Optomap safe for children, it's highly recommended since many vision problems begin at early ages.

The fee for an Optomap is $40. In most cases, this is not covered by insurance. But we firmly believe that the benefits of an Optomap are well worth the cost.
